The History Of The Fashion Revolution The Fashion Revolution first debut event was April 7th., 2007 in Milwaukee, WI at the Wisconsin African American Womens Center. It was sure to be a success. With a room filled with hungry eyes to devour the fashions hand crafted by local clothing and accessory designers,. This was an event of optimal entertainment for patrons and guests. ****************************** Live entertainment, lights and music provided by Double G Productions and dance performances by Motion Disorderz and Remix. Both Milwaukee based dance groups. There was lots of motion and lots of energy! In the midst of that, there were extravagant fashions by Milwaukee Designers Lolita Dorsey of Brown Fox Boutique with her line entitled "Vintage Glam" and Angela Smith of DQueens Crown and her "re-created" fashion line. Urban wear was also provided by "FLOW", which is a streetwear boutique located on the East side of Milwaukee. With a total of 15 beautiful models, experienced photographers , and media coverage from one of Milwaukee's greatest news sources FOX 6, and MKE magazine/website, the Community Journal and Gumbo TV. The Fashion Revolution was brought together peacefully and efficiently. Door prizes reach a max of $350, which included a professional photo shoot with Milwaukee's premier photography studio, VISA gift cards, and bottles of Moet Champagne. Mind Over Matter Inc. produced the show (founded by Sheena Luckett, Co- Executive producer) in collaboration with Nicole Rodriguez who is also a well established photographer in the community. Their goal was to show the city that unity will be the only key to success! Positivity and Unity is an important aspect of The Fashion Revolution. Besides just seeing a good show, the creators of this production would like for attendees to understand that a "revolution" needs to occur for us to better ourselves and our communities. They hope to get this across by working with UP and COMING designers and models, and other organizations in the community that are dedicated to a positive change in the community, so that they understand we all can share a dream and help each other realize them, and at the same time making a powerful imprint in our neighborhoods with peace and positivity. ********************************* Roche and Daughter of Studio One Photography Fallicy Belle (Visual Artist), Nigeria (model, painter, designer), Roz (photographer) | After The Fashion Revolution 2007, many people expressed the need to see more!
